This story is a continuation of the adventures of
Rusty and Kate from the first book The Ratters of Lightning Ridge.
Both characters start up their opal mining operation again only to be hit by the elusive ratters. However, this time they set a trap and capture the invader.
Richard Holmes spent over 35 years in corporate America holding various financial management positions. He was a licensed certified public accountant during his corporate career and was instrumental in setting up startup companies in both the mining and manufacturing industries. In retirement, his travels have included many trips to Australia where he developed a great interest in the Australian outback. His many hobby interests include 25 years of lapidary on opal from Australia. His search for higher quality opal led him to Lightning Ridge Australia and ultimately writing the novelette, “The Ratters of Lightning Ridge.”
